in response to bookworm2011...   Little bit of this and a little bit of that. Haha No nothing new. Sounds like you have your hands full. Tell the one who's going to Mexico to be careful. It's deffaniately not like America in most of the country, to much corruption. Just have him keep his eyes open and when someone says duck they aren't talking foul. The one being potty trained, I'm not touchig that with a ten foot pole. You are probably right about the girls, when any kid and I mean any is quit for any length of time count on trouble of some sort.

Greetings everyone. I want to share a problem I have. For five years I have been trying to resolve a traffic violation that was given to me due to lack of funds. I use to be a U.S. soldier in the active duty Army. When I no longer was in the Army, I decide to enroll in college. Well one particular day over five years ago, I was trying to film a school project from my vehicle. Honestly I did not have any money compared to the amount of money that was being paid to me from the military. Times was hard and I had no insurance on my vehicle, to include expired license plates, and expired registration when I was attempting to film a project. The police assumed that I could be part of some terrorist organization because I was trying to film planes at a small regional airport. The vehicle was towed by the police for lack of all the traffic violations. Every since those fines, I have not been able to obtain a good job without drivers license since my license was revoked due to the traffic violations. The fine is $1,405.00 all together since it was three different violations. I have not been able to save nor raise that kind of money, because over the last five years I spent 3 and a half of those years a full time college student. I really need to find a way or some help to remove this from my record so I can possess license and obtain a decent or excellent career or job. I have had a few small jobs, but they only assisted me in helping pay rent, food, public transportation, and utilities. I really would like to do better for myself, and help others in the process. If only I could resolve this problem, then I will be able to return the favor to someone who needs the help one day. Does any person out there know a logical solution, or can anyone lend a helping hand? Thanks for reading this.

in response to bookworm2011...   My family doesn't like it when there are no snacks either, but I have weaned them off of them almost entirely now, because, the truth is, it won't hurt them to not eat sweets. In fact, sugar is the major cause of most sickness, since it is poison, and kicks the heck out of our immune systems! I'm so glad the green tea and stevia help you! It IS hard to remember to drink all that water, since you are a busy lady! Hang in there and it WILL come off!

That happens to me every once in a while too..I got a little bummed because the past two days I saw an increase of 6 ounces but then realized that I had stopped drinking all the water..I made myself drink the required glasses today and we will see what the scale says tmw..Ive found drinking some green tea with the sweetner completely takes care of any cravings when I cook for my family. I tried to eliminate boxed and packaged sweets so I must endure the baking treats for them since Im the one who got myself into this by telling them they need to eat healthier, homemade snacks! Thank you again for the support! I hope that things are well with you and your family..

Comment on: About The Real Cie

By The Real Cie - on Jan 19, 2012
Posted in The Real Cie

There are a lot of people here who need help so I'm not terribly hopeful, but here goes. I am mentally ill. I have type II bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder which partially manifests as hoarding disorder. I have hoarded objects, not animals. I have 5 cats, which some may think is "a lot of cats" but it does not qualify as animal hoarding. I am working on the hoarding problem but it is an uphill battle. Sometimes I do better than others.
In spite of my mental illness, I do work. I make well above minimum wage, as I make $17 an hour. I work 32 hours a week. This is about all I can do without it making me extremely depressed or physically sick. I also have fibromyalgia and sciatica as well as asthma and mild hypertension.
I fall into a marginalized category. Because I make the salary I do, I do not qualify for food stamps. However, once taxes and insurance are taken out of my pay, I only take home about $1400 a month. I am in an upside down mortgage in a mobile home and my credit is damaged. Thus refinancing seems to be out of the question--no-one will touch me. Between mortgage and lot rent, I pay $1100 a month.
My mother has helped me out for several years with utility bills. I do not eat much except at work. I get things like cheese whiz and crackers and canned fruit juice or jello that does not need refrigeration when I am at home as I do not have a working refrigerator.
Last year my mobile home incurred very bad damage when the water heater started leaking and I didn't know it until my son realized that the carpet in the hall was wet. The walls and floors of 3 rooms had to be removed. Overall the repairs cost over $20,000. My mother helped out with this. But she is stuck with my late father's medical bills and really can't help any more. I am ashamed to ask her for help anyway.
I do not have working plumbing except in the bathroom sink. Fortunately I am able to shower and wash my clothes at work. I do not have much in the way of furniture but I'm not so worried about that.
I still owe $43,000 on this horrible 15% mortgage, which I have had for 10 years. The original mortgage was $45,000. You can see that I am mostly paying interest. I am in a no-win situation.
I just got through paying off a bunch of payday loans that I had to take out when I was doing a month unpaid internship to obtain my LPN license last April. I also maxed out my credit cards. I still owe about $1200 in credit card bills. This destroyed my credit, which I had worked very hard to build back up to a passable score.
I have medical issues which I have not been able to afford to take care of and I have not been to a dentist in 6 years.
I feel very depressed most of the time and think about suicide every day. I am not a lazy person but I have had a lot of barriers to my success in my life.
It seems that if I had nothing at all there would be some resources from me. But since I am working and have this mobile home I fall into the Twilight Zone where no-one can or will help me.
Thanks for reading.

Ever notice how Aip sometimes tells you there are messages, then, after you open and read one, it tells you there are no more? I just ran across this message from you that I never even read before, so I'm assuming that is what happened.
I know. It is sooooo hard to cook or bake for others when you are not allowed to have any! But, when you are in the zone, you are in the zone!
Keep going! You CAN get down to the pre-baby weight again! I did.

in response to georgette7...   Thanks, Georgette. I do think it helps when people can see it is a real need, and that it goes directly to pay that need, instead of just a random person's account. Scammers have been here and tricked people into giving them lots of money in the past. We've lost many good contributors because of that. When new contributors join, and ask me how to tell which people have real needs, a good rule of thumb is seeing that some needs are real and having proof (like when the bill is paid directly.) so you have a good point.

in response to georgette7...   What I am saying is that money is not often exchanged here in any way (direct gifts, grants, paying of bills, etc...) I understand you are asking for tax help. Everyone seems to be struggling right now, especially this time of year. Many are disabled, homeless, have no food, etc....
We have no idea which contributors happen to be reading the posts and are financially able and willint to help. Sometimes this does happen, but most of the time, we try to swap helpful info, resources for help through different organizations, etc...(usually the people who need help the very most are helped in those cases)
We have no access to any cash other than whatever we each earn via our own jobs.
Many times people have the misconception that we work for a large corporation and are able to distribute funds from a large account.
I hope this information helps.
I wish I could be of more help.
I know how it feels to be hassled for payments due.
God bless you.

in response to StrongBear...   Hello, StronBear,
I was losing my house when I found this site. I was not sure what it was at first. I have never been given a grant here. I found out the people here help one another as they can. Some have been given cash assistance by other members, but mostly I see people giving one another support and information. Many contributors have taken the time to research different topics and are able to point others in the right direction for help.

Does anyone know of a place to consolidate debts for persons with bad credit. I would even consider peer to peer lending if there are any wealthy individuals willing to help a single, graduate student, with a full time job. I've suffered some financial misfortunes but I'm trying to get back on track. I need about $50,000 and I can comfortably pay be $450 - $550 per month. Please help in any way that you can and it will be greatly appreciated.

All this upgrading that AIDPAGE has done , or at least says they have done has only made it slower and now the one to one is screwed up, it goes to a little white box and hangs up.Can't type nothing, have to go back a page or click out completely. Both of those would surely be a turn on for anyone just coming to the site, it's a shame it use to be a damn good site. Not no more.

in response to Bee's Knees...   I appreciate your support, I really do..this means so much to me because I really want to get healthier and back to where I was pre-baby. I am proud to say I have been very strict with my eating. Its SO HARD because I cook alot and like to experiment for my family. I fried them catfish and fries and cornbread one night this week and about died from the smell!! ALso was running late and no time to cook and had to stop at McDonalds for my kids a few times and the smell of the fries almost made me give in but I reminded my self these are the steps I need to take to achieve this goal. I did happen to find my size 5-6 pants and clothing in my garage and some of my pants are still new so my goal is to get down to those sizes from where I am now (a 10) and that way I wont have to do a ton of shopping for new clothes.
Just weighed in , I am on day 8 and have lost a total of 8 pounds! Im very excited and thank yoiu again for all of your help!

in response to bookworm2011...   Wahooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! That is so great! I'm so glad to hear it! I'm proud of you! Now, just beware that your rate of loss may slow a little after the first week, but do not be discouraged and do not give up! Most importantly, do NOT listen to people trying to discourage you! Remember, if you cheat, it not only will slow down your loss, but if the cheat is great enough, it will cause you to gain. Some cheats cause a several lb gain and take 3 days to get back to where you were.
Also, if you hit a plateau, where you have stayed the same weight for several days, ditch the shrimp, oranges, and tomatoes, since they have been known to hold people up.
You can totally do this!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep reporting back--please!
I love hearing about your success!

in response to Roseb441702...   Dear friend and brother in Jesus Christ,
Greeting to you, this letter may come as a surprise but I’m begging you please to read it and take me for my words. My name is Charlemagne Verdyl, I’m 31, a believer and I'm married and I have one daughter, and she is 2 and half years old.
For the past 2 years life has been very difficult due to the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12 2010,many people have lost their lives and many have lost their houses and been displaced. Our greatest testimony is that The Lord kept us safely in His arms during that time though our house was completely broken down but my family has been able to be spared the most important thing, our life. Many helps have been brought to Haiti on the long-running but never got to us because of the great need and we live the province. I have started rebuilding my own house one year ago which is only 2 rooms and I managed to put the blocs on it’s been a while but I’m just not able to put a roof, for this reason I’m looking for some support from you whether your financial support or your prayer, in any way you can help.
To put a roof on my 2 rooms it’s only going to cost me $ 700 US equal to 28,500 HT G to buy 60 sheet metal, 30 2x4s and stuff.
I’m writing to you to make you remember us in your prayer since we are approaching January 12 2012 which will make exactly 2 years after the Quake. If your heart is touched by my letter please reply with some words of encouragement s and we would like direct touch.
Meantime wishes of joy, happiness and peace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sincerely
